M & M COOKIE MIX IN A JARIngredients for Cookie Mix to add to jar:1 -1/4 cups white sugar1 -1/4 cups M and M's candies2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon baking powderDirections for putting cookie mix and jar together:In a large bowl:

Mix together flour, baking soda and baking powder.

Layer in a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar.--white sugar, M & M's and flour mixture.

Pack down firmly for a tight fit.

Twist jar lid on securely, add a piece of fabric to the top of the jar and tiewith a bow of raffia or ribbon.Instructions To Attach To Jar:M & M's Cookies

Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl.

Gently stir together ingredients just to blend flour, sugar and M & M's together.In another large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup margarine or buttersoftened at room temperature, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1teaspoon vanilla.Add dry ingredients to butter mixture until thoroughly mixedtogether.

Shape dough into balls the size of walnuts and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes until or until edges are slightlybrowned.

Cool on cookie sheet for about 5 minutes then remove to wire racks to finish cooling. Makes 30 cookies.
