Skillet Cabbage

4 Servings

1 medium head green cabbage

1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

2 to 3 teaspoons sugar

salt and pepper to taste

Remove outside leaves; wash cabbage.

Cut into wedges; coarsely shred cabbage with knife and discard core.

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot.

Add cabbage, garlic, red papper and sugar.

Season with salt and pepper.

Cook and stir about 5 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are desired doneness.
