Guest guest Posted July 2, 2002 Report Share Posted July 2, 2002 OKRA DELIGHT 1/2-1 pound of okra, sliced 1 small onion, chopped 1 pint of tomatoes, drained & chopped Pinch of sugar 1 can of corn, drained 3 teaspoons of chili powder 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped Vegetable oil 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper Place enough oil in skillet just to cover bottom of pan. Sauté okra, onion and jalapeno pepper. When onion is transparent add drained tomatoes, sugar, chili powder, black pepper and can of corn which has been drained. Cook stirring occasionally until okra is tender. Serve hot with cornbread and meat of your choice. ===== Language is an expression of thought.
