Guest guest Posted July 3, 2002 Report Share Posted July 3, 2002 STEAMED CABBAGE WITH BUTTER INGREDIENTS: 3 pounds green cabbage 4 tablespoons unsalted butter( 1/2 Stick) 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon sugar 1 tablespoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1. Cut the cabbage into quarters. Remove any wilted and discolored outer leaves and cut out the core from the cabbage pieces. Cut the cabbage into alarge (1-inch) dice. 2. Heat the butter and water to simmering in a 4-quart pot. Stir in thecabbage, sugar, salt, and pepper.
