Ingredients 2 teaspoons olive oil 1 - medium onion, chopped 1 26-ounce (780-g) jar plain spaghetti sauce 1 - vine-ripened tomato, seeded and chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, oregano or basil - - Freshly ground black pepper to taste Preparation - Estimated cooking time: Under 30 minutes - 1 Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring often, until very soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, garlic, herbs and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors. 2 Serve with fresh pasta.
