Guest guest Posted September 10, 2002 Report Share Posted September 10, 2002 Oriental Broccoli Stir-Fry Ingredients 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or white vinegar 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon cooking oil 3 cups broccoli flowerets 1 small red or yellow sweet pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces (1/2 cup) Directions: 1. For sauce, in a small mixing bowl stir together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, ginger, toasted sesame oil, and garlic. Set aside. 2. Pour the cooking oil into a wok or large skillet. (Add more oil as necessary during cooking.) Preheat over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli; stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the red or yellow sweet pepper; stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Push vegetables from the center of the wok. Stir the sauce. Add the sauce to the center of the wok. Cook and stir until bubbly. Stir ingredients together to coat with sauce. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.
