Guest guest Posted October 9, 2002 Report Share Posted October 9, 2002 Wild Rice Soup 2 Tbs. butter 1/2 cup celery, chopped 1/2 cup onion, chopped 1/2 cup carrot, chopped 2 cups skim milk 1 cup chicken broth (you can make chicken broth from McKay's chicken seasoning) 3 Tbs. flour 2 oz. shredded cheese 1 1/2 cup cooked wild rice 2 tsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Salt & Pepper to taste In a three quart saucepan, sauté butter and vegetables. Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir to combine. Gradually add milk and broth. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 15-20 minutes. ===== Language is an expression of thought.
