Guest guest Posted October 9, 2002 Report Share Posted October 9, 2002 Traditional Sugar Cookies 3/4 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover; chill at least one hour. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 6-8 minutes or until very light brown. Frost with powdered sugar and cream frosting.
