Guest guest Posted October 18, 2002 Report Share Posted October 18, 2002 Buttermilk Biscuits Time: 25 minutes (15 min prep, 10 min cooking) Makes: 12-24 biscuits 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, very cold 3/4 cup buttermilk, cold 1. Mix the dry ingredients; cut in the butter until it resembles coarse meal. 2. Add the buttermilk and mix just enough to combine (add a little more flour or buttermilk if needed). 3. Knead gently on a floured board one or two turns, then pat out about 1/2 inch thich, cut, put on baking sheet with sides touching, and bake at 450 degrees F. 4. about 10 minutes. 5.
