Guest guest Posted November 17, 2002 Report Share Posted November 17, 2002 Vidalia Onion-Cheese Dip Time: 40 minutes (20 min prep, 20 min cooking) Makes: 4 Cups 3 large vidalia onions or other sweet onions , coarsely chopped 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine , melted 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (8 oz.) 1 cup mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 1. Cook onion in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until tender. 2. Combine onion, cheese, mayonnaise, hot sauce, and garlic; stir well. 3. Pour into a lightly buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole. 4. Bake, uncovered, at 375ºF for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden. 5.
