Keep in mind that breads, crackers, grains, pastas and rice are all naturally low in fat; check labels to make sure the products you buy are as well. If total fat exceeds 2 - 3 grams per serving, some ingredient was added that you don't want. Also, use these foods -- along with fruits and vegetables -- as your way to get a recommended 20 - 35 grams of fiber per day. Pick cereals with more than 3 grams of fiber per serving, and breads with more than 2 grams of fiber per slice.
