Guest guest Posted December 4, 2002 Report Share Posted December 4, 2002 During a Kwanzaa celebration, you will need a table prepared with: A Mkeka ...a Place Mat made of straw A Kinara ...a Candle Holder for 7 candles A set of Mishumaa saba ... 7 candles (3 red, 1 black, 3 green) A variety of Mazao...Fruit Vibunzi...Ears of Corn representing the number of children in the home Zawadi ...Hand Made Gifts Each day during the Kwanzaa celebration one candle should be lit beginning with the black candle in the center of the Kinara. The rest of the candles should then be lit starting from left to right. Place three green candles on the left and three red candles on the right. Each day one of the seven principles should be recited while lighting the candle.
