According to a report from the University of

Washington, When examining the health records of more

than 800 young adults aged 23-29, and comparing their

height and weight measurements (body mass index) since

birth with those of their parents, researchers

discovered that the risk of a non-obese child (aged 3

or under) becoming an obese adult almost triples if

the parents are obese. However, obese teens have a

better than 50 percent chance of becoming obese

adults, even if neither parent is obese
