Tips For Proper Food Refrigeration

Just because you place food in the refrigerator or stick it in the freezer

doesn't mean that food will last forever. With the refrigerator set no higher

that 40 F and the freezer at 0-F, the following storage tips will help to

decrease your chances of becoming sick from harmful bacteria associated with

spoiled food.

Here are some guidelines:

Soups & Stews: Refrigerator-2-4 days--Freezer- 2-3 months

Frozen Dinners: Freezer 3-4 months

Mayonnaise(Open Jar): Refrigerator-2 months; Freezer-Don't Freeze

Fresh Eggs In Shell: Refrigerator: 4-5 weeks--Freezer--Don't Freeze
