Guest guest Posted March 16, 2003 Report Share Posted March 16, 2003 Apple Cinnamon Squares Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened 1 cup chopped English Walnuts 1 teaspoon cinnamon > 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup low-fat sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 carton (4 oz.) MORNINGSTAR FARMS® BETTER'N EGGS 2 cups peeled and finely chopped apples Directions: 1. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, margarine, and walnuts. Mix well. Press 2 3/4 cups of the mixture firmly into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. 2. Add remaining ingredients to mixture left in the bowl and blend well. Spread mixture over crumb crust. 3. Bake at 350° F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm sprinkled with powdered sugar or low-fat whipped topping.
