Guest guest Posted March 20, 2003 Report Share Posted March 20, 2003 Native American Fry Bread 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup powdered milk 1-1/2 tbs sugar 1/4 cup baking powder 1 tsp saltabout 1-1/2 cups warm water Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl and mix. Add enough warm water to make a sticky dough and let it stand for 10 minutes. Pull off about 1/2 cup of dough and place on a well-floured surface. Coat dough in flour and shape into desired size - about the size of asmall saucer. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown, then flip and fry other side. Place on paper towels to drain oil.
