Native American Fry Bread

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup powdered milk

1-1/2 tbs sugar

1/4 cup baking powder

1 tsp saltabout

1-1/2 cups warm water

 

Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl and mix.

Add enough warm water to make a sticky dough

and let it stand for 10 minutes.

Pull off about 1/2 cup of dough and place on

a well-floured surface.

Coat dough in flour and shape into desired size

- about the size of asmall saucer.

Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown, then

flip and fry other side.

Place on paper towels to drain oil.

Serve warm with butter or desired toppings.
