Guest guest Posted March 25, 2003 Report Share Posted March 25, 2003 Apple Biscuit Round 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup butter, chilled 2 apples 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup raisins 1 egg, beaten 1 T brown sugar Grease an 8-inch round cake pan. Sift flour and baking powder together into a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles bread crumbs. Peel and core apples. Dice and stir into flour and butter mixture with sugar and golden raisins. Stir in beaten egg to form a soft dough. Press mixture into pie pan. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees until risen and golden-brown. Turn out onto a wire rack and leave until just warm. Cut in half horizontally.
