Caramelized Onions

 

4 large Onions (yellow), peeled and thinly sliced

6 ounces Butter

Salt and pepper to taste

 

Melt the butter in a large skillet.

Add the onions and cook over low heat (stirring

frequently).

Continue until the onions are tender and

lightly brown (about 30-35 minutes).

Use immediately or cool, cover, and refrigerate

until needed.

Makes about 2 cups
