Guest guest
River Road Cheese Biscuits (This is from the River Road Recipes Book, published back in the 1950s by the Baton Rouge Junior League; it and the two subsequent volumes have combined sales of more than $2,000,000!) 1 lb American cheese ¼ lb butter 1/3 cup cool water 1½ cups flour ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon red pepper ½ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon paprika Directions: Cream cheese and butter. Add water. Add dry ingredients sifted together. Let stand in refrigerator for two hours. Roll dough out thin, cut into biscuits, and bake at 450°for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 20 small biscuits. (If you cut them even smaller, they're good as snacks for parties.) ===== *********** My Special Thought To You: There's A Blessin' In Pressin'....On The Upward Way!
