Guest guest
Quick Crostini 1 French bread baguette, about 2 1/2 inches wide 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 6 fresh garlic cloves, halved Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice the baguettes into ½ slices. Brush both sides with the oil and place on cookie sheets. Bake until lightly browned and toasted, about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Rub each piece with the cut side of the garlic halves while toasts are still hot. Serve warm or at room temperature. Leftovers can be wrapped in foil and kept at room temperature for several days, then refreshed briefly in the microwave before using. * if in a hurry you can sprinkle bread with garlic powder before toasting and omit the garlic rub. Bruchetta Topping that sits great atop the crostini: 3 diced Tomatoes 1 cup chopped fresh Basil Salt & Pepper In a small bowl, mix together tomato, basil, salt and pepper and let marinate while you prepare the crostini. Spread crostini with tomato/basil mixture and drizzle with a little oil before serving. ===== *********** My Special Thought To You: There's A Blessin' In Pressin'....On The Upward Way!
