Guest guest
Fourth Of July Food And Fun *** Celebrate All Day Long Make the most of your holiday by extending the celebration throughout the day! * The Breakfast Parade. Start the day on a festive foot with a group breakfast. Keep it to just family and friends, or better yet, get the whole neighborhood in on the action. Serve simple fare that can be prepared in advance, such as coffee cake and fruit. Invite everyone to bring a bike or a wagon to decorate, and stock up on red, white, and blue streamers, shiny garlands, balloons, bells, small flags, and stickers. When every last handlebar has fringes fluttering from it, it's time for a parade! * Fun in the Sun. Everyone knows the Fourth of July is best spent outdoors! Plan plenty of activities to keep the crowd busy -- and cool --until fireworks time. Good old-fashioned relay races are always a blast --try the three-legged race, sack race, egg-and-spoon race, or an obstacle course for starters. Chill out the competition by turning the sprinklers on the racecourse. If you want the fun of a pie-eating contest without spoiling everyone's appetites, fill the pie pans with red and blue gelatin instead. * Barbeque with a Bang. Of course no Independence Day celebration is complete without firing up the grill. If you've already got a full day of activities planned, stick with easy-to-prepare offerings. With a crowded yard full of kids, take extra care to never leave the grill unattended. Keep your charcoal grill going longer by adding new coals when you spread out the first batch. No matter what kind of grill you use, remember the most important rules --make sure you have plenty of fuel, and plenty of cold drinks! ===== *********** My Special Thought To You: There's A Blessin' In Pressin'....On The Upward Way!
