12 p.m.: Peaceable Kingdom

 

Join us for a free screening at 12 p.m of Peaceable Kingdom at Northwestern=

University's

Thorne Auditorium, 710 N. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. In coordination with=

the Farm

Sanctuary Forum on April 3, Tribe of Heart founders and award-winning filmm=

akers,

James LaVeck and Jenny Stein, will present their newest documentary, which =

has been

2 p.m.: Vegan brunch @ Wolfgang Puck's

 

Immediately following the screening, the Healthy Dining Club is having a 2 =

pm vegan

brunch at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant in the Museum of Contemporary Art at 2=

20 East

Chicago (walking distance from the screening). Chef François Kwaku-Dongo wi=

ll be

preparing a special vegan meal especially for this event! EarthSave members=

have been

invited to this event. It's $20 for EarthSave members and $30 for nonmember=

s. Please

submit a copy of your Earth Save membership card for the discount. Space is=

limited and

advance payment is required. If you would like to join in for brunch, pleas=

e RSVP to:

HealthyDining at your earliest convenience.  An email will be sent =

to you within

24 hours confirming that your brunch reservation has been received. You wil=

l board the

bus to DeKalb outside the building after brunch.

 

 

4 p.m.: Tom Regan speaks followed by Vegan Indian Buffet Dinner

 

Our bus leaves for DeKalb to hear Tom Regan speak on his new book, Empty Ca=

ges, right

after an optional brunch and just outside the Museum of Contemporary Art, 2=

20 East

Chicago. Then, NIU's VEG will have an Indian vegan buffet @ The House right=

after Dr.

Regan's lecture. Dr. Regan will be at the buffet, his table has been reserv=

ed for volunteers,

but there will still be an opportunity to talk to Dr. Regan. All the dishes=

on the menu are

incredible and vegan. Come hungry! You'll be able to eat up with plenty of =

time to still

catch the bus back to Chicago. It will leave DeKalb at 10pm to return to Ch=

icago at the

same location it left from, a few blocks from the CTA's 24 hour Red Line. O=
