Lovely Ivor's Burnley Page has been updated in readiness, there's loads of info both about the club and about the town at: http://www.andysav.free-online.co.uk/burnley.htm Reviews Bogg, No. 69 A long running Anglo-American poetry zine which also includes, in this issue, an interview with poet Art Schuhart, some artwork and a handful of fairly indepth reviews. The styles of poetry used are varied, from rhyming to free verse, and this time round there seems to be quite a few about tea! Here's a poem by Richard M West: A La Mode Let us consider the cracked teacup with its yellow coach in an English landscape trunks piled on top & a holiday goose swinging out behind it. Yes, let us consider the cracked teacup, as we follow the road all things must follow. £2.50/$4.50 from: George Cairncross, 31 Belle Vue St, Filey, North Yorkshire, YO14 9HU, England. Light's List 1999 This is a long established mag that lists small press publications from around the world, particularly from Britain and the USA. £1.50 from: John Light, The Light House, 37 The Meadows, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 1NY, England. The Original Sin, No.23 A free fanzine featuring countless unsigned and DIY bands and artists from just about everywhere you can think of! Didier Becu, Jozef Guislainstraat 6, 9000 Gent, Belgium. Tears in the Frence No.22 This is a very classy poetry magazine with a slant towards the environment. There's also prose, reviews and articles, including one in this issue about Shelley. Here's a short piece I liked by Andy Darlington: down by the beach in the rocky pools tiny elephants sit on tiny stools, move the stones as gentle as you please, listen carefully, you can hear them sneeze £4.50 from: David Caddy, 38 Hod View, Stourpaine, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8TN, UK. Welcome The new 9 track CD from Body Full of Stars. There's plenty of funk in the bass lines and Tim Jones' gritty voice reminds me a bit of Eric Clapton. Stone Premonitions really are putting out some terrific CDs at the moment. Check out their website at http://www.mellis.demon.co.uk/index.htm £10 from: Stone Premonitions, 271 Park Rd, South Moor, Stanley, Co. Durham, DH9 7AP, UK. That's all for this issue, but before we go here's the url to download a song sample by Andy Savage that will play forever if you set your wave player to loop mode: Start Another Waveloop And don't forget our good mates The Space Dentists, for their spaced out mp3s! Cheers, Lovely Ivor
