Poems of the Month

I'll Write Another Poem----This is about love And how love leaves me And how love hates me But that is what life is about So I've been told My partner is in a girl's room And "my girl" won't come to me So I'll fuck Johnny Cash tonight And be happy And everything is cool Because Lon is sleeping Which is cool I shouldn't write such short poetry Because that is shallow Like Johnny is deep He is so deep I love all. -- Andru Bond

Night watch on the ship's prow The stars are out in disorder Everything ever been seen By the naked eye Is out tonight.

Michael Stephen Levinson

ECLIPSE

I viewed the eclipse,

And lost both pips.

PAUL RANCE

lunacy

i can no longer run from the moon. my choices are clear: either turn away from the light & fade

or follow & obey, forsaking any claim of sanity

you see, i have been chosen & i can no longer run from the moon

Reviews

Lagomorph, by Bruce Atchison An 11 track tape of electronic music, each called Rabbit, in different languages. Some of it kind of reminded me of early Gary Numan, slow, rhythmic and a little bit eerie. Other tracks have a harder edge. Its a good collection overall. Available from : Bruce Atchison, 8403-145- Ave, NW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T5E 2J1. email: ve6xtc

The Writing Parent Carving out a unique little place for itself is this newsletter aimed at writers who have young children to look after. Full of tips, competitions and useful urls. The hard copy version costs $15 for 12 monthly issues, from Angela Giles Klocke, 127 Bishop Rd, NW Cartersville, Georgia, 30121-7234, USA or you can to the free email version by sending a blank email to:TheWritingParent- check out the website at http://www.geocities.com/soho/study/6219

Fate And Destinies, Translations from the Megalithic, by Charles T Scribner MD If you're into synodic months and nodal years then this weird booklet could be up your street. Scribner sets out to show how stoneage people were able to predict eclipses and conjunctions. He provides a heck of a lot of mathematical tables to illustrate his case, so its either a work of genius or complete codswallop! Price is £1.50 from: Hilltop Press, 4 Nowell Place, Almondbury, Huddersfield, W. Yorks, HD5 8PB, England.

The Definitive Unsolved Mysteries Of......Mr Quimby's Beard A cd of space rock music taking us to the land of Yoon and following the adventures of The Quimby Clan as they search for the mystical beard. Its a lavish production from a talented group though just when you think its going to really take off and rock, it never seems to quite get there. The band has a website at http://www.silkyuk.freeserve.co.uk or you can write to them at 3 Sussex St, Silksworth, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, SR3 1BY, England.

The Stones, by Cloud 10 instrumental tracks on cd each dedicated to a member of the Rolling Stones, past and present, including their manager and other backroom staff! This is such a good tribute cd because the music really rocks. There's some terrific riffs, catchy melodies and plenty of Stonesey R & B guitars and piano. You can order a copy online as well at http://homemademusic.com/artists/cloud

If you would like to submit anything for review in Zine-on-an-Email then email me for details at andy?subject=reviews
