Intergalactic Email for October 1999

Mercury is not an easy place to live. Not everybody likes it 2000 degrees hot in the shade all year round. That's probably why so few people live there. At last count, there were only 87 residents on the entire planet, and 46 of those were dentists. There's a move to try and persuade some of them to re-train and become zoo keepers.

The Space Dentists themselves of course are not originally from Mercury. They are from the earth. But they were taken away in the year 1586, ( whilst on their way to a soccer match between Brunlea and Loo Towne) and haven't been back since, that they can remember. They've got used to red hot weather, and although its not that its too cold for them on earth, its that there's too much salt in the gravy. That's why they haven't been back, that and Brunlea getting relegated to the second division.

But of course The SDs have visited many planets in many galaxies over the years, and at this very moment, Dr. Bounce has sent them on a special mission to the planet Neeneeyib, which is the tenth planet in our very own solar system, just left from Pluto. The purpose of this mission is as yet top secret, but all will be revealed in next month's intergalactic email!
