Delisting of Wolves from Endangered List

Please sign this petition...

On May 6th, l998 Bruce Babbitt announced his plans to remove the wolf from the Endangered Species List. Although in recent years wolves have been doing well in the Great Lakes States, we feel that dropping federal protection of the wolf at this time is premature and unwarranted and would not be a success story for all involved. We are asking that any delisting action must be accompanied by a detailed post-delisting management plan. This plan cannot include a hunting or trapping season on wolves. We are opposed to any hunting, trapping, or killing of any wolves by anyone other than a state or federal government employee if there is a problem with a depredating wolf. We proudly sign this petition on behalf of the wolves in Minnesota and other states whose lives may be in danger.
