Guest guest
:::sigh::: Oh, hell. Now I _hafta_ buy the thing. ;-D I hope you appreciate how hard this is for me, Karen (Greenlee, that is). :-) It was hard enough to start actually buying cookbooks a few years ago, since to me, cooking was nothing more than a necessary evil. (Emphasis on the " evil " .) Now that I see cooking as a part of my spirituality (yeah, yeah, don't laugh), it's easier. I _think_ I saw MasterCook at our new Office Max (St. Augustine is LEAPING into the 90s!), for just $7.95. If it's still there, I'll post it here and will be glad to buy it for anyone else who wants it. Off to Office Max, Debby
Guest guest
Debby: Yay! You will *not* be sorry! The Mastercook you saw at Office Max is the 4.0 version -- which is what I have. The reason it is now $7.95 is because they are getting ready to come out with the 5.0 version (sometime supposedly soon). I paid about $40 for the 4.0 version you can now buy for $7.95!!! I honestly don't know what is going to be different about the 5.0 version (Brenda -- Pat -- do you know?), but I think you will be perfectly happy with 4.0. What you will really like is that, for example, on this list, you will be able to import the recipes from your mailbox into Mastercook and arrange them any way you like. You can make all your own cookbooks with their own categories, etc. The program also comes with several of its own cookbooks too. You can leave the actual recipes from all those on the CD so they won't take up space on your hard drive. You will be able to do " searches " , make shopping lists, and all kinds of things. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help with the program. Now you will be able to post recipes on our brand new list too! Your week is just going to be too exciting. Have fun!! Guest guest
If you can't find it at Office Max, I recommend you check out Costco. They have regular Mastercook and Cooking Light as well DBN <dbn Veg-Recipes <Veg-Recipes > Sunday, March 07, 1999 3:39 PM Master Cook >DBN <dbn > >:::sigh::: Oh, hell.
