Like other programs being written now, Sierra's Mastercook will incorporate more html code -- idea being that html and internet is the document of the future. Files should be more share-able - (windows mac os2 nt unix etc) I want to see how they developed the hyperlinks: load local file, and load web page, and look up glossary item. I've heard that mc will load your email program; copy and paste the recipe directly (?!?!?!) Don't know. All I've heard is rumor. what i've heard: Sierra says that we won't loose recipes written in 3 or 4. Version 5 will import. Since mastercook is easy to learn and a time saver... i see no reason to wait for version 5, even if it is a few months away. Sierra hopes to have the beta version in tests " any minute now " and on sale april-may 99. Mc-5 will have bugs - inevitable - so updates will take time too. one more word - the pc version of 5 will come out first -- pc-5 will get the kinks out then the programmers will write the code for the mac ... Please don't complain. Here's the history: version 4 was developed for the mac and ported to the pc - but way top fast without enough time so some of the new mc4 features never got written for the pc. Therefore - this time, they are writing code for the pc - to include version 4's new features as well as version 5's. patH
