Guest guest Posted March 12, 1999 Report Share Posted March 12, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Tomato-Herb Marinara Recipe By : Weight Watchers, March 1999 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped carrots 1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary OR 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary 1 can diced tomatoes with roasted garlic -- undrained 28-ounce 1/4 cup dry white wine 1 teaspoon sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and garlic; saute 3 minutes. Add oregano and rosemary; saute 1 minute. Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until carrot is tender. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup).
