Guest guest Posted March 20, 1999 Report Share Posted March 20, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook II * Oriental Vegetables Recipe By : Mary McDougall Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Entree Mcdougall Vegan Zucchini Oriental Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 Onions -- sliced in rings 1 Bunch Broccoli, Cut In Serving Size Pieces 2 Tomatoes -- cut in wedges 1/2 Cup Water 1/2 Tbs Salt Reduced Tamari 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder Put water, tamari and spices into a large pot. Bring to a boil. Add sliced onions, stir to coat with liquid and to separate rings. Cook 5 minutes. Add broccoli, stir to mix. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Add tomato wedges. Mix. Cover and cook for just 2 minutes more. Serve at once. Helpful hints: Serve as a vegetable dish or over rice or noodles. For a variation, replace broccoli with other vegetables such as green beans, cauliflower or snow peas.
