Guest guest Posted March 23, 1999 Report Share Posted March 23, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Apple Crumble Recipe By : Weight Watchers, March 1999 Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Fruit Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2/3 cup quick-cooking oats 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar -- divided 3 tablespoons chilled stick margarine -- cut in small pieces 3 packages frozen escalloped apples -- (such as Stouffer's) 12-ounces each 1. Preheat oven to 375°. 2. Combine oats, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, and flour; cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Set aside. 3. Remove plastic film from apples. Place 3 packages apples in microwave oven; microwave at HIGH 11 minutes or until partially thawed. Spoon apples into an 8-inch square baking dish. Add remaining brown sugar; stir well. Sprinkle oat mixture over apple mixture. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until apple mixture is bubbly and topping is golden. Yield: 8 servings.
