Guest guest Posted March 24, 1999 Report Share Posted March 24, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook II * Barley Soup Recipe By : Susan Powter Serving Size : 7 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soup Susan Powter Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 Cup Finely Chopped Onion 2 Garlic Cloves -- chopped fine 1/2 Cup Dry Whole Barley 1 28 Oz Can Chopped Tomatoes 6 Cups Vegetable Broth 1 Cup Finely Chopped Celery 1 Cup Carrots, Cut Into 1/4 " Cubes 1/2 Tsp Celery Salt 1 Tsp Mrs Dash 1 Tsp Nature's Seasoning Or Spike Seasoning 1 Knorr Bouillon Cube 1/8 Tsp White Pepper 1 Tsp Dried Thyme 2 Tbs Chopped Parsley Saute onion and garlic until limp. Add to other ingredients except parsley in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Sprinkle with parsley.
