Guest guest Posted March 24, 1999 Report Share Posted March 24, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook II * Chili Beans, Border Style Recipe By : Susan Powter Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beans Mexican Susan Powter Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 Medium Onion -- chopped 2 Cloves Garlic -- mashed 1/4 Cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper 1 15 Oz Can Black Beans -- drained/rinsed 1 15 Oz Can Small White Beans 2 4 Oz Cans Chopped Green Chilies 1 28 Oz Can Chopped Or Whole Tomatoes 1 Tsp Cumin 1/2 Tsp Chili Powder Salt And Pepper -- to taste Chopped Green Onion, Nonfat Sour Cream And Shredded Nonfat Cheddar Cheese -- for garnish Sweat onions, garlic and bell pepper in a large pot. Add remaining ingredients except garnish and simmer for at least 30 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onion, nonfat sour cream and shredded nonfat cheddar cheese.
