I think of main dishes in terms of carbs: rice dish, pasta dish, potato dish then and sort of rotate them. Our dinner routine: main dish, veggies unless they are part of the main dish, bread, and fresh fruit. I cut up fresh fruit and we generally eat it for several nights since there are only two of us. This winter it has usually been grapes and cantaloupe or grapes and pineapple. (We eat apples and oranges for lunch.) The bread might be fresh bread, bagels, or muffins. We rarely eat dessert since we don't need the calories. schuller
