Guest guest
I don't think it is always the same -- it can be " the same " (meaning, of course, veggie meal planning compared to the SAD). I always laugh at friends & acquaintences who comment on my " limited diet " and think there is hardly anything for me to eat. I have found that my diet, and also other vegetarians, is much *much* more varied than meat eaters' diets. I eat lots of foods that my friends, etc. have never even heard of. I think my " style " of eating is different too. They generally plan a m**t, a couple of veggies (usually corn & potatoes and maybe sometimes green beans or peas!), bread, and maybe salad or sometimes they may have a " main dish pasta " or something with m**t in it. I might have a " main dish " with an assortment of veggies, or just an assortment of veggies with no main dish (not often) or a pasta dish with salad & bread, or a Mexican main dish with rice and or beans, or a bean & rice thing, some other kind of " grain thing " , maybe with some veggies on the side or maybe not, sometimes a " one dish thing " , a soup or stew. Even though that old " food combining " is not at all necessary, I will take the vitamin & mineral content of foods into consideration but, more often, plan based on color & texture. My husband, on the other hand (not yet too experienced with vegetarian meal planning and who has two *extremely* picky-eating sons), has been known to make a meal of macaroni & cheese, potatoes, and rice! He will not live that down anymore than I will ever live down the " peanut butter & peas pasta " I made once. Karen

It sounds like a dish I cook, Pasta with Szechwan Peanut Sauce. It calls for broccoli but I often use peas because it makes it a really quick meal. There are lots of great Thai and African dishes using peanut butter. I'll imput and send a peanut butter selection when I'm done with my Indian recipes. Guest guest
Laura: Some of these combinations may be good but, Laura, trust me, this one was really really awful!! In my desperation to find something my stepsons would like, I thought, well, they like pasta, they like peanut butter, and they can eat around the peas or accidentally eat some of them. Imagine an overwhelming taste of peanut butter and soy sauce mixed, then throw in some peas. Yuck, yuck, yuck! I make one bad thing in my life and I never hear the end of it. Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!! Karen (recipe to follow) morgaana wrote: > morgaana > > > " Karen C.
