Combine oil and seasonings in a bowl and mix well. Add potatoes and toss well to coat. Arrange potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Arrange one-third of potato slices in skillet and drizzle with one-third of butter/margarine; sprinkle with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Repeat layering procedure twice with remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 for one hour; increase heat to 500; and bake 5-10 more mins. or until browned. Stir in potato and next 3 ingredients. Spoon half of mixture into a lightly greased 1 1/2 quart round baking dish. Sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat layers with remaining potato mixture and cheese. Stir together breadcrumbs, butter or margarine, and rosemary. Sprinkle over top of the potato-cheese mixture. Bake, covered, at 400 degrees F for 40 minutes.
