Guest guest
Georgina wrote & asked me what hominy is. She's from Canada and says she has never seen it there. Well, Georgina, some people in the U.S. north of the Mason-Dixon line don't know what hominy is either, so here's a link with the definition, etc.. Hominy is made from corn and grits (another Southern staple) are made from hominy. Hominy is sold in cans -- check your canned goods department to see if maybe it's there but you just never noticed before (???). http://food.epicurious.com/db/dictionary/terms/h/hominy.html I'm glad you're enjoying the list! Georgina also asked for a tahini recipe. I just buy tahini in a can (Joyva brand). Do you mean a recipe for the actual tahini itself or for sauce or recipes using tahini? I think I may even have info on how to make the actual tahini. I'll check and post whatever I have. Karen
