Guest guest Posted April 19, 1999 Report Share Posted April 19, 1999 I made the Basic Waffles from Vegetarian Cooking For Everyone today. Instead of the whole amount of milk, I used mostly soy milk. Instead of all the flour, I used partly 12 Grain Flour and some flax seeds. They were very tasty. Hubby wasn't too thrilled with them but didn't realize what I did to them. I liked them. I am trying to include more soy products and healthy ingredients in foods we eat. This way I improve his diet without him noticing too much. I have been making one tofu recipe a week for dinner, adding soy nuts to things, 12 Grain flour to muffins, breads and to breading of foods, and including anything healthy in anything I make. It is working. That is why I bought the spelt flakes. I thought I would try using them instead of wheat in some things.
