Guest guest
This looks like a cool idea! What do you all think? Do you think we have a chance? The list grew from 0 to 240 in a little over a month. If everyone referred friends and those friends referred friends, etc., we could be in the running! We could donate the money to PETA or some other vegetarian-related organization. We are automatically in the " contest " , and it would just be a matter of getting y'all's help in promoting the list and getting list members. Thanks!! The " Grow to Give " Program is our first ONEreach event. Through the " Grow to Give " Program, ONElist will donate $5,000 to each of two charities chosen by the two communities that grow their membership the most within the next two months. The community that grows the most in new and confirmed ONElist rs and the community that grows the most as a percentage basis of new and confirmed ONElist rs will each choose a recipient charity. ONElist will then donate $5,000 to that charity in the name of the community. All ONElist communities as of April 19, 1999 at 12:01 a.m. PDT are automatically participants in the " Grow to Give " Program. The program will run from April 19, 1999 through June 19, 1999 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Guest guest
Karen, I finally got around to posting the announcement about this list on CompuServe. I hit the Vegetarian forum, Cooks Online, Good Diet, and Natural Medicine. I asked them to mention they're from CompuServe so we can see if there was interest. I'm certain there will be! Cooks holds so many darned recipe collecting fanatics, it makes the lists to which we both belong look like newbies. <S> The Vegetarian forum is full of wonderful people, as are the others. Let's see if we can win! To what charity will *our* list donate? Perhaps there is a reason they added that voting feature to the web site! <G> Christine
Guest guest
Man. That's sad. Noone else has any thoughts!? I posted all over, just 'cause I know how avid the recipe collectors are there. Many, many of them are veggie, or don't care and add their aneemal products to their food as they wish. I like the farm sanctuary or humane society. As long as it's something where the animals GET the money! <g> Preferably somewhere where they take care of older, unwanted animals like the greyhounds. Having just adopted an 8 year old ball of love kitty, I'm particulary sensitive to this right now. Christine
