Guest guest Posted April 20, 1999 Report Share Posted April 20, 1999 The photo of these patties looks good and the recipe sounds easy. x-Posted to RecipeCafe JoAnn * Exported from MasterCook * Thot Man Khao Phot - Fried Sweet Corn Patties Recipe By : Cha Am Thai Restaurant, Berkely CA Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Thai Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups sweet corn kernels 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons garlic -- well pounded 2 teaspoons wheat flour 1 egg **For Frying** 2 cups cooking oil Knead together well the corn, pepper, salt, garlic, egg, and flour to obtain a stiff dough. Place the oil in a deep wok over medium heat. When the oil is hot, pick up about one tablespoon of the dough, shape into a patty with the fingers, and place the patty in the oil. Continue making patties and puttin them in but do not crowd the wok. Turn as needed so patties brown on both sides; then, remove from the oil and drain on absorbent paper. Serve with chili sauce. Serves 4.
