Guest guest Posted April 27, 1999 Report Share Posted April 27, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook II * Persian Rice Recipe By : Susan Sassaman Claessens Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Rice Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 Cup Long-Grain Brown Rice -- rinsed 1 Medium Onion 4 Whole Cloves 1 1/2 Cups Water 1 1/2 Tbs Butter Or Margarine 1/2 Tsp Salt Preheat the oven to 325. Lightly oil a medium casserole dish with a lid. Place the rice in prepared casserole dish. Stick the onion with the cloves and place in the center of the rice. In a small saucepan, bring water, butter and salt to a boil. Pour over rice and cover casserole dish. Bake one hour.
