Holly:

You're already waaay ahead of me! I assume you're talking about

actual book cookbooks -- not MasterCook " cookbooks " -- right? I

organize mine more by " use " -- which I use the most are the handiest --

and then by size for how they fit on the shelves. ha ha! I also group

by types in each " level " of sets (most used/moderately used/rarely

used/never used).

I have been a vegetarian since I was a child (age 10), so I don't

really have a " pre-vegetarian life " like most vegetarians do (not an

adult one anyway). The " SAD " cookbooks I have are ones I bought as an

adult (already having been a long-time veg), so I wanted them and still

use them. These I use mainly for the bread, dessert, baking, side

dishes, etc. and most of them have good basic cooking info I sometimes

refer to. Okay -- I will admit that I completely removed all the

meat/poultry/fish recipes from the 3-hole punch " Better Homes & Gardens "

cookbook. I also tore out all the meat recipes from a cookbook for

teens, " Clueless in the Kitchen " . I just bought another one for my

non-veg stepson though, and kept all the pages in for him. ha ha!

Speaking of which -- that is a good little cookbook, and it has a good

veg section. Even better -- it's not out yet, but should be any day now

-- " The Teen's Vegetarian Cookbook " by Judy Krizmanic (who also wrote

'The Teen's Guide to Going Vegetarian " .

It's late -- I'm tired -- I'm rambling. Hope this is helpful or

gives you some ideas! I'm going to sleep now and will mail this off in

the morning.
