Guest guest Posted May 9, 1999 Report Share Posted May 9, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Frosted Banana Bars Recipe By : Serving Size : 36 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes & Frostings Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas -- (about 3 medium) 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda pinch salt *FROSTING* 1/2 cup butter or margarine -- softened 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese -- softened 4 cups confectioner's sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas, and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking dish. Bake at 350 ° for 25 minutes or until bars are done. Cool. For frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Gradually add confectioner's sugar and vanilla and beat well.
