I stopped in at Best Buy today and picked up a copy of 5.0 and will probably load it this weekend. There were lots of copies in all three versions on the shelf along with the suite version 4. I think that CeeJay and Kayla have 5.0 and I notice a difference in the Mastercook header of their recipes. It has just one space between the star and the words so that it looks like this * Exported from MasterCook * and not * Exported from MasterCook * When I attempted to run this mornings digest through McBuster it would not pick up recipes without the double space. Guest guest
I was able to save these recipes as " text " from EudoraPro and import them into Mastercook, so I guess that system still works. They are different though and also have the nutrition information included at the end which is nice -- only accurate though if all ingredients are recognized. There has been a LOT of chat on the MasterCook list about the new version. From what I understand, people with 4.0 will not be able to import 5.0 ecipes, although there is an option in 5.0 to export as 4.0. Perhaps if those who are using 5.0 would please make sure to send their recipes in the old format so that we can import them, otherwise they will be useless to a lot of us. Someone on the list said that Sam's Warehouse had V 5.0 on sale for $39.95 with a $20 rebate which was good until 7/31, that's the best price I've seen reported. All the talk of the nifty new features is making me want to go out and buy it! Marguerite >I think that CeeJay and Kayla have 5.0 and I notice a difference in the >Mastercook header of their recipes.
