Guest guest
I couldn't let this opportunity go by wthout sharing my favorite Caribbean drink -- the pain killer. I lived on St. Thomas for a year (1989-1990) and enjoyed this drink on *many* occasions! I would take a ferry over to St. John for the day and then sit up on the deck of Pusser's (then owned by Tommy Smothers of all people) drinking Pain Killers and waiting for the ferry to return to St. Thomas. .. . . . * Exported from MasterCook * Pain Killer Recipe By : Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beverages Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 ounces orange juice 4 ounces pineapple juice 2 ounces Coco Lopez 2 ounces rum ground nutmeg ice cubes Combine all liquid ingredients. Pour over ice, shake or stir, sprinkle top with nutmeg & serve. The amounts in this recipes suit my preferences -- I use 3 ounces of rum when I make this for my husband -- he prefers stronger drinks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
