Guest guest
This is different! You could even eat this yourself if you wanted to. * Exported from MasterCook * Vegetarian Dog Food Recipe By : Simply Heavenly Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Misc. Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 gallon leftover vegetables, including peels, -- ends, etc.* water to cover 2 tablespoons baking yeast 4 cups soybeans 6 cups rolled oats If you don't have any vegetable scraps, or not enough to make a gallon, just put in whatever extra vegetables you may have to make up the amount. Cut any large pieces into chunks. The night before making the dog food, put the soybeans in water and let them soak overnight. The next day grind them in either a food mill or blender. If there is any corn with the vegetables, it should be ground also. When ready to cook, put the vegetables, soybeans, and yeast in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 2 hours. Add the rolled oats and cook until they are done. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : This was formulated by a veterinarian. *Save the peels, ends, etc. from vegetables when you prepare your food, and keep them refrigerated, uncooked.
