JoAnn * Exported from MasterCook * Melon-Marmalade Medley-Doris Townsend Recipe By :Doris Townsend Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup orange marmalade 1/4 cup orange juice 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon candied ginger root -- finely chopped 2 cups cantaloupe balls -- 1 melon 3 cups honeydew melon balls -- 1 lg melon 2 cups watermelon balls -- 1/4 melon In a snall bowl, combine marmalade, orange juice, lemon juice and ginger; set aside. In a large serving bowl, combine cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon balls. Pour marmalade mixture over melon balls. Toss gently. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Variation - Melon Marmalade Salad: After chilling, drain juice from melon balls. Combine 3 tablespoons juice with 1 1/2 cups sour cream. Arrange melon balls on lettuce leaves on individual serving plates. Top with sour cream mixture. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs if desired.
