Guest guest Posted June 26, 1999 Report Share Posted June 26, 1999 * Exported from MasterCook * Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding Recipe By : Mollie Katzen, " Moosewood Cookbook " Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Puddings Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- *BEAT WELL TOGETHER* (you can use a blender) 3 cups milk 3 larqe eggs 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons honey juice from 1/2 lemon 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 tablespoons brown sugar *MIX TOGETHER IN A 9 x 13 " BAKING PAN* 4 cups bread -- coarsely crumbled 1 1/2 cups apple -- freshly grated AND/OR 1/2 cup dried fruit -- chopped 1/2 cup chopped nuts -- optional Pour the first mixture into the pan, and push everything around with a wooden spoon until it is uniformly combined. Baked 35 minutes in a 350F oven. Serve hot, war, or cold with heavy cream, ice cream, fresh fruit, or applesauce.
