Guest guest
Hi! A friend gave me a sackful of old Vegetarian Times magazines, so I'm slowly formatting the recipes to share with ya'll! ;-) * Exported from MasterCook * Berry Smoothie Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Breakfast Fruit Lacto Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 medium banana 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice 1/2 cup fresh blueberries --blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries 1/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt or soy yogurt -- optional Put banana and half the apple juice in a blender or food processor fitted with steel blade. Blend, adding remaining apple juice gradually until smooth. Add berries and yogurt if desired and blend thoroughly. Serve immediately. Variation: Instead of berries, substitute other fresh fruits such as nectarines and peaches. Or substitute other fruit juices for the apple juice.
