Ranch Hand Beans

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 pound dried pinto beans -- soaked

2 medium yellow onions -- chopped

1 cup ketchup

1 cup barbecue sauce

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons chili powder

2 tablespoons prepared mustard

1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

 

Cook beans according to package directions. Drain, rinse, drain again, and

place in a 4-quart bean pot, baking dish, or casserole.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While the beans are cooking, in a 10-inch

nonstick skillet, cook onions over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until

browned.

Stir the onions and remaining ingredients into the cooked beans. Cover

and bake 1 hour or until bubbly.
